Donor Statement

On June 23, 2006, I received a heart transplant at the VCU Medical Center, better known to most of us as the Medical College of Virginia.

Thanks to divine providence and some very talented, loving, and skilled people at that facility I am able to once again play music, enjoy the friends and family that I love so much, and accomplish some things I might not have otherwise.

I myself am a donor as are my children, and I encourage anyone reading this to become one if they are not already.

Now I hope that you live to be at least 90 and die in your sleep. But if for some unforeseen reason you don't, you can leave the gift of life for someone else.

It will be greatest gift you ever gave.
